Today's tithi at Tirumala

ChaturthiKrishna paksha · Ashwayuja masam

The same tithi in earlier years

  1. Past years appear once the history loads.

Festivals follow the lunar calendar, so the same tithi is usually a better guide than the same date.

When are you planning to go?

Choose the day you reach Tirumala and the day you leave. We look at the same days last year, and at last year's festival if one falls in your trip, to estimate the crowd.

Choose your dates above to see how crowded they are likely to be.

Which darshan is right for me?

There are several ways to have darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy. Most are free. Rules change from time to time, so confirm on TTD's site before you go.

    Sarva Darshan

The free general queueFree · no booking

Walk into the Vaikuntam Queue Complex in Tirumala and wait your turn. Food, water and milk are given in the queue.

Wait ranges from a few hours to more than a day. This page shows how long it was each morning.

    SSD time-slot token

Slotted Sarva DarshanFree · token in Tirupati

Collect a token with a darshan time at TTD's counters in Tirupati: Srinivasam, Vishnu Nivasam and the Bhudevi Complex. Carry the original Aadhaar of every adult.

Tokens are limited each day and TTD pauses them on very crowded days.

    ₹300 Special Entry

Special Entry Darshan (SED)₹300 per person · book online

Book a time slot on ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in. Tickets for a month go on sale about three months ahead and sell out fast. Traditional dress is required.

See "When do tickets go on sale?" below for the exact day and time.

    Divya Darshan

For pilgrims who walk upFree · token on the footpath

Climb by the Alipiri or Srivari Mettu steps. TTD gives walkers a darshan token on the way. Counters and timings change, so ask at the start of the path.

A walk of several hours; start early and carry water.

    Senior citizens and differently abled

    Dedicated quotaFree · book online

A separate darshan slot for those aged 65 and above and for differently abled devotees, released online each month. Carry age proof or the disability certificate.

Opens on the 23rd at 3 PM, about three months ahead.

    Sevas and SRIVANI

Arjitha sevas and the SRIVANI TrustPaid · book online

Sevas such as Suprabhatam and Kalyanotsavam are allotted by an online lucky dip or first come, first served. SRIVANI darshan is for donors to the SRIVANI Trust.

Both open each month around the 19th to the 23rd.

1Which days of the week are quieter?

Wait is TTD's morning estimate for free Sarva Darshan without SSD tokens. Holders of ₹300 tickets or SSD tokens wait far less, but the same days are busy for everyone: rooms, Annaprasadam and the laddu counters.

    Average morning wait by weekday

How often the queue spills outside the complex

When all 31 compartments of Vaikuntam Queue Complex II fill, the line runs outside (Silathoranam, Krishna Teja guest house, Octopus building, Bata Gangamma temple). Share of mornings where that happened:

2Festivals and auspicious days coming up

Each upcoming occasion sits beside the same occasion last year. "Busier" compares pilgrims per day with the two weeks either side; the queue figure is the longest morning wait over those days.
